On March 24, 2026, Global Competition Review (GCR) named “United Health Group/Amedisys,” a matter in which Wilson Sonsini played a leading role, as the “Merger Control Matter of the Year (Americas)” at its 16th annual GCR Awards ceremony held in Washington, D.C. GCR Awards recognize the world’s leading lawyers, economists, and enforcers and the most significant cases from 2025.

Wilson Sonsini’s antitrust team played a vital role in advising BrightSpring Health Services, a leading provider of home and community-based health services, as the approved divestiture buyer following a significant settlement between UnitedHealth Group and Amedisys with the Department of Justice regarding their $3.3 billion merger.
