On November 30, 2022, the Scrip Awards ceremony was held in London at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, where industry experts and leaders in biopharmacology gathered to celebrate and recognize the very best innovations and achievements in the sector.
Fifteen categories were awarded, including “Licensing Deal of the Year,” which considers deals that involve the licensing of a particular drug, project, or group of drugs/projects from one company to another for further development and/or marketing. The Wilson Sonsini-led deal between GSK and Alector won the award for the development and commercialization of AL001 and AL101 for neurodegenerative diseases in a strategic collaboration agreement valued at $700 million at the time of signing, with Wilson Sonsini client Alector eligible to receive up to an additional $1.5 billion in clinical development and regulatory and commercial launch-related milestone payments.
