On January 14, 2021, The American Lawyer celebrated the industry’s most impressive law firms and lawyers at the 2020 American Lawyer Industry Awards. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati was honored with the “Best Example of Legal Services Innovation” award for its work, alongside tech subsidiary SixFifty, to guide employers through the pandemic, while also helping both renters and homeowners to stay in place with pro bono tools.
In the first virtual version of the event, hosted by actor Kal Penn, editor-in-chief Gina Passarella, and the rest of ALM’s editors and reporters, the awards honored the best of what the legal profession represents. The program celebrated the exemplary accomplishments of their Lifetime Achievement and Law Firm Distinguished Leader honorees, as well as their first-ever Law Firm Corporate Practices Awards and Attorney of the Year honorees. In addition, ALM, through its national brands—The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, and Corporate Counsel—celebrated achievement in newer categories, such as legal innovation and use of technology, as well as business teams, mentors, and client law firm teams.
