On February 2, 2026, vTv Therapeutics (vTv), a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing oral, small molecule drug candidates intended to help treat people living with diabetes and other chronic diseases, announced that it has expanded its license agreement with Newsoara Biopharma providing the company with global rights to vTv's phosphodiesterase type 4 (PDE4) inhibitor, HPP737. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised vTv on the transaction.
HPP737, a selective PDE4 inhibitor, has shown therapeutic activity in several animal models of inflammation. Under the terms of the amended license, in addition to an upfront payment of $20 million, vTv is eligible for future development milestones of up to approximately $50 million, future sales milestones of up to $65 million, and tiered royalties.
The Wilson Sonsini team that advised vTv related to the transaction includes Norm Hovijitra, Kexi Wang, Val Zunic, and Mike Hostetler.
