On September 8, 2025, São Paulo-based fintech UME announced the completion of a $21 million Series B funding round led by Valor Capital Group and Bewater, with participation from existing investors including PayPal Ventures, NFX, Globo Ventures, Canary, and Big Bets. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Valor Capital on the transaction.

Ume will use the additional capital will be used to expand the credit and payments network, enhance infrastructure, and scale teams across Brazil.
