On September 3, 2020, Fastcase announced the acquisition of the legal technology assets of Judicata, a California legal research solution provider. Wilson Sonsini advised Fastcase in the transaction.

The Judicata team joined Fastcase, a comprehensive nationwide law library, with the mission of extending Judicata’s leading California research and analytics tools nationwide in the Fastcase and Docket Alarm platforms. According to the press release, “’Judicata is a generation ahead of even the largest legal research platforms, and their technology will be the core of the next generation of Fastcase tools.”
