On December 9, 2024, Cimeio Therapeutics, an immunotherapy company, announced that it has entered a research collaboration with Kyowa Kirin to develop novel cell therapies. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Cimeio on the transaction.
The partnership will combine Cimeio’s Shielded-Cell & Immunotherapy Pairs™ (SCIP) platform with Kyowa Kirin’s expertise in cellular therapies. Under the terms of the agreement, Cimeio is eligible to receive an upfront payment and two years of research funding. Cimeio could receive further milestones and royalties if Kyowa Kirin exercises a commercial license option. The collaboration is valued at up to $300 million.
