On March 12, 2025, LaCAR MDx Technologies, a company specialized in automated solutions for newborn screening, announces the strategic acquisition of newborn screening assets from Baebies, a U.S. company known for its innovative neonatal diagnostic technologies. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Baebies on licensing and intellectual property matters related to the transaction.

The acquisition enhances LaCAR's newborn screening capabilities by incorporating advanced digital microfluidic technology, broaden the international commercialization of Baebies' products, and bolsters LaCAR's presence in the U.S. market.
