On June 26, 2025, Wilson Sonsini associate Stefan Geirhofer was appointed to serve as Chair of the IP Transactions and Licensing Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Intellectual Property Law (IPL Section).  

The ABA’s IPL Section encompasses a network of IP lawyers, law students, and other professionals working on advancing the development and improvement of intellectual property laws and their fair and just administration.

The IP Transactions and Licensing Committee specifically addresses issues relating to intellectual property licensing and other contracts involving the ownership, transfer, or exchange of intellectual property rights.

Stefan is part of the technology transactions practice at Wilson Sonsini, where he focuses on transactions involving complex technology and intellectual property issues, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-out transactions, transfers and licenses of intellectual property, collaborations, research and development agreements, and joint ventures. Stefan advises clients in a wide array of technologies, with a concentration on the high-tech and software fields.
