On June 26, 2023, The San Diego Business Journal released its 2023 “Women of Influence in Law” honorees, which included the recognition of Wilson Sonsini partner Lori Westin. The accompanying profile mentions her current work with Impossible Foods in a "sprawling patent dispute in federal court and the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, where [she] routinely ranks as one of the 50 most active women lawyers in the country."

Lori was also named to the publication's "Top 50 Women of Influence: 50 Over 50" list in March 2023, which recognizes leaders over 50 for their contributions and commitment to their work and community throughout their careers. The feature highlighted Lori's career from earning her doctorate and working as a scientist securing patents to securing patents for others in patent law. Alongside her career, Lori is recognized for her work serving as co-chair of the Lawyers Club of San Diego’s North County division and being on the board of Women of Color in the Law, an organization that was formed in 2002 in response to the lack of diversity in the San Diego legal community.
