On July 26, 2018, Opera, a pioneer in providing innovative web browsers, and more recently, Opera News, an AI-driven content discovery platform, priced its initial public offering of 9,600,000 American Depositary Shares (ADSs), each representing two of the company's ordinary shares, at a price to the public of $12.00 per ADS. The shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "OPRA" on July 27, and the offering closed on July 31. In addition, Opera granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,440,000 ADSs. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented the underwriters in the offering.

China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities and Citigroup Global Markets acted as joint book-running managers for the offering, and Carnegie AS acted as a co-manager for the offering.
