On July 1, 2025, Wilson Sonsini partner Myra Sutanto Shen was appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Tax Section’s Corporate Tax Committee.
The ABA Tax Section has over 11,000 members, representing everyone from experienced practitioners to law students, and covering all tax practice areas. The Corporate Tax Committee is committed to helping corporate tax professionals stay up to date on the latest developments through CLE panels at each Section meeting, including updates on current developments, related materials, and programming for committee members between meetings.
Myra is a tax partner in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini and the head of the firm's Tax practice. Myra represents technology and life science companies in connection with all aspects of U.S. federal income tax planning. She has extensive experience advising public and private companies on all corporate transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, IPOs and convertible note offerings, and corporate restructurings. Myra also advises founders, investors, and companies regarding the “qualified small business stock” exemption under Section 1202 of the Internal Revenue Code.
