On July 9, 2025, Wilson Sonsini Chief Information Officer Mike Lucas was recognized as a “Global Finalist” for the 2025 SoCal ORBIE Awards, which recognize leaders managing over $1.2 billion annual revenue and overseeing multinational operations. The SoCal ORBIE Awards honor CIOs and CISOs who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership in Southern California.

The finalists and winners are chosen through an independent peer-review process led by prior ORBIE recipients. Selection criteria include leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation, and engagement in industry and community endeavors. Winners will be revealed on October 24 at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach.
