On June 2, 2025, Wilson Sonsini partner Marty Waters was named to San Diego Business Journal's 2025 “Leaders of Influence in the Life Sciences” special edition, which recognizes industry leaders in the life sciences and highlights their careers and accomplishments.

Marty Waters is a member of the board of directors at Wilson Sonsini and moved to San Diego to open and establish the firm’s San Diego office in 2004. Since then, Marty has continued to foster the growth of local life sciences companies, guiding them through financings, strategic transactions, and public offerings.
