On November 3, 2026, Wilson Sonsini partners Maneesha Mithal and Scott McKinney were named to Forbes’ inaugural “2027 America’s Top AI Lawyers” list. The list recognizes leading practitioners in the artificial intelligence (AI) field nationwide. Honorees were selected through a multi-stage process that included editorial research, submissions, and analysis.

Maneesha Mithal co-chairs Wilson Sonsini’s Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practice, advising clients on privacy, AI, and consumer protection matters. A founding member of the firm’s cross-disciplinary AI group, she has extensive experience counseling clients on data regulatory issues of first impression and representing clients in government investigations on AI and other issues.

Scott McKinney is a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions practice, where he focuses on frontier technologies. He is also a founding member and leader of the firm’s AI group, and he has extensive experience counseling clients on the use, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning technologies.
