Wilson Sonsini partner Kathy Ku was recently honored as a leading attorney in both the region of Los Angeles and the state of California.

On May 17, 2022, Los Angeles Business Journal named Kathy as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers” in the Los Angeles region for her ongoing efforts as an outstanding legal professional. The accompanying profile covers Kathy’s career in legal work, which stretches from the highest levels of the judicial system as a clerk to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the highest levels of the corporate world, where she advises on transformative deals such as Careem’s $3.1 billion acquisition by Uber. 

Then, on May 18, 2022, Kathy was named among the Daily Journal’s "Top Women Lawyers" for 2022. The list celebrates leading women lawyers in California who are conducting cutting-edge legal work and have made a significant impact in the industry. The publication’s profile of Kathy highlights her role in the $550 million sale of Lyft’s self-driving vehicle division to Toyota subsidiary Woven Planet Holdings Inc. and her work advising remote work giant Globalization Partners in a $200 million investment from Vista Credit Partners. Kathy also discusses her love for the variety in her work and guiding others toward opportunity, whether that be clients making tough decisions or young lawyers developing in their careers.
