On April 21, the Daily Journal named Wilson Sonsini partner John Slafsky to its 2021 list of California’s “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers.”  The list honors top attorneys in the state for their work on the cutting edge of new developments in intellectual property law, and for helping to advance innovation.

The Daily Journal cited John’s client roster, which includes Spotify, Roblox, Sequoia Capital and NBA star Stephen Curry, and recognized recent wins on behalf of Impossible Foods and Salesforce. Specifically, John is part of the Wilson Sonsini team that successfully represented Impossible Foods, the maker of the popular Impossible Burger, in a European trademark lawsuit against Nestlé.  And for Salesforce, John led a team that secured an important post-trial ruling from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on the strength of the SALESFORCE brand.
