Firm Advises Eight Sleep on IP Matters Related to $100 Million Financing
On August 19, 2025, Eight Sleep, the world’s first sleep-fitness company, announced that it has raised $100 million in new funding to accelerate the company’s vision of transforming the bed into an AI-powered sleep-optimization and preventive health device. The round included participation from HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, and notable sports figures, including Charles Leclerc (Ferrari F1 Driver) and Zak Brown (CEO of McLaren F1). Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Eight Sleep on IP diligence matters related to the transaction.
Eight Sleep will use the funding to supercharge its AI roadmap, starting with the development of the world’s first Sleep Agent. This marks a breakthrough in applying large language models to human physiology, going beyond conversation to deliver real-time, real-world optimization. The funding will also support Eight Sleep’s entry into the medical space, as the company is developing AI-powered solutions for medical sleep challenges, starting with menopausal sleep and sleep apnea. Eight Sleep is also targeting FDA approval for certain applications.

On June 10, 2024, Amber Therapeutics, a UK-based medical technology company, successfully closed a Series A financing, raising $100 million (£80 million) from leading healthcare and technology investors in the U.S. and U.K. The round, one of the largest Series A financings in Europe for a medical technology company, was led by New Enterprise Associates and included new investors F-Prime Capital, Lightstone Ventures, and Intuitive Ventures, along with existing investors Oxford Science Enterprises and 8VC.
