On January 20, 2026, Think Bioscience (Think Bio), a Boulder-based biotechnology company focused on unlocking elusive drug targets, has raised $55 million in an oversubscribed Series A. The round was led by Regeneron Ventures, Innovation Endeavors, and Janus Henderson Investors with participation from T.A. Springer, CE-Ventures, MBX Capital, and YK Bioventures. Returning investors include AV8 Ventures, CU Innovations, and Buff Gold Ventures. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Think Bio on patent matters related to the transaction.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Iambic Therapeutics on $50 Million Series B Extension, Bringing Total Series B Funding to Over $150 Million
On June 18, 2024, Iambic Therapeutics (Iambic), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel therapeutics from its unique generative AI discovery platform, announced the closing of an oversubscribed $50 million extension, bringing the total Series B funding to over $150 million. The Series B extension was led by new investors Mubadala Capital and Exor Ventures, and existing investors Abingworth, Illumina Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Coatue, and Tao Capital Partners. Wilson Sonsini Advises DermBiont on $35.2 Million Series B Financing
On October 24, 2023, DermBiont, a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing targeted topical therapeutics for the treatment of dermatological indications, announced a $35.2 million Series B financing. The financing was led by new institutional investor Double Point Ventures, and included continued support from Viking Global Investors, Civilization Ventures, Olive Tree Capital, and others. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati provided IP and corporate counsel to DermBiont in the transaction.
The proceeds from the financing will be used to advance the clinical development of two drugs: SM-020, a topical novel AKT kinase inhibitor for the treatment of seborrheic keratoses (SKs), and SM-030, a topical novel PKC-beta inhibitor for the treatment of melasma and other hyperpigmentation disorders of the skin. They are expected to fund the company through end of its Phase 2 meetings with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which are expected in the second half of 2024 for both programs.
Wilson Sonsini has represented DermBiont on IP matters since the company’s inception, and the patent team that advised on the Series B included Matt Bresnahan, Alicia Umpierre, Dalton Case, and Tiara Wong. The Wilson Sonsini corporate team that advised on the transaction included Jason Skolnik, Dani Glazer Signaigo, and Leila Purqurian.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Octant on $80 Million Series B and Partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb
On April 21, 2022, Octant, a next-generation, data-driven therapeutics company developing programmable biology and chemistry to build precision medicines for complex diseases, announced an $80 million Series B financing round that was led by Catalio Capital Management and included participation from Bristol Myers Squibb and existing investors Andreessen Horowitz Bio Fund, Allen & Co., and Fifty Years. Octant also announced it has established a Deep Mutational Scanning (DMS) biopharma partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb, and has appointed biotech industry veteran Dean “Rick” Artis as its first chief scientific officer and renowned scientist Feng Zhang to its scientific advisory board. Wilson Sonsini has advised Octant since its inception and represented Octant in the transactions.
