Wilson Sonsini Advises Underwriters on $1.2 Billion Marqeta IPO
On June 8, 2021, Marqeta announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 45,454,546 shares of its Class A common stock at a public offering price of $27 per share, with gross proceeds to the company of over $1.2 billion. Marqeta also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 6,818,181 shares of its Class A common stock at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. The company's stock began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "MQ" on June 9. The offering closed on June 11.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Soleno Therapeutics in $57.5 Million Public Offering of Common Stock
On June 26, 2020, Soleno Therapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of rare diseases, announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 34,848,484 shares of its common stock, including 4,545,454 shares sold upon full exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares, at a public offering price of $1.65 per share. The net proceeds of the offering were approximately $53.7 million, after deducting the underwriting discount and other offering expenses.

CloudSimple to Be Acquired by Google
On November 18, 2019, Google announced it has acquired CloudSimple, a leading provider of secure, high performance, dedicated environments to run VMware workloads in the cloud, building on an existing partnership that was announced earlier in July 2019. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is representing CloudSimple in the transaction. Wilson Sonsini incorporated CloudSimple in 2016 and has represented the company continuously since that time.
