Wilson Sonsini Advises XGS Energy on Oversubscribed $20 Million Series A
On May 21, 2024, XGS Energy (XGS), an innovator in next-generation geothermal energy technology, announced the successful completion of its $20 million Series A financing. The final close was led by Valo Ventures and VoLo Earth Ventures and included financing from new investors B Current Impact Investment, MIH Capital, and individual inside investors, as well as additional funding from existing investor Thin Line Capital. Wilson Sonsini Advises Niron Magnetics on Strategic Funding Round
On February 20, 2024, Niron Magnetics, the company pioneering the world's first high-performance, rare earth-free permanent magnets, announced it has received $25 million in new strategic funding. The round was led by Samsung Ventures, and included new investors Allison Ventures, the venture capital arm of Allison Transmission, and Magna. In addition, current investors Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and University of Minnesota participated in the round joining Niron’s impressive list of investors which includes GM Ventures, Stellantis Ventures, Volvo Cars Tech Fund, and more. Firm Advises Will Wright’s Gallium Studios on $6 Million Funding to Build Blockchain Games
On August 22, 2022, Gallium Studios, an independent game studio founded by video game designers Will Wright (The Sims, SimCity, Spore) and Lauren Elliott (Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego), announced the raising of $6 million in funding to help develop simulation games that utilize blockchain technology. Gallium’s first projects include VoxVerse, which Wright helped design for Gala Games, and Proxi, a memory simulation game, which utilize blockchain technology. The financing was provided by Griffin Gaming Partners, one of the world’s largest venture funds specializing in gaming. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Gallium on the transaction.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Jerry on $75 Million Series C
On August 10, 2021, AI-based car ownership app Jerry announced the completion of a $75 million Series C funding round led by Goodwater Capital. The oversubscribed round values the company at $450 million. The financing was completed just seven months after Jerry's $28 million Series B round and brings total funding to $132 million. Existing backer Goodwater Capital led the oversubscribed funding round. Bow Capital, Kamerra, Highland Capital Partners, and Park West Asset Management also participated in the financing. On January 12, 2020, Teladoc Health, a global leader in virtual care, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire InTouch Health, a leading provider of enterprise telehealth solutions for hospitals and health systems, for $600 million. The acquisition positions Teladoc Health as the only virtual care provider covering the full range of acuity--from critical to chronic to everyday care--through a single solution across all sites of care worldwide. J.P. Morgan acted as sole financial advisor and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented InTouch Health in the transaction.
