Global Data Review has named partner Maneesha Mithal to its Women in Data 2022 list. The second edition of this survey spotlights women at the cutting edge of legislation, regulation, and technology around the world. Their profiles provide a snapshot of the data field in 2022, as well as a reflection on its evolution over the previous decade or so, during a time of considerable upheaval—from the rise of Big Data and the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation and other privacy legislation to the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
This year, GDR has featured 46 participants from 23 countries, including 37 lawyers. In her Q&A profile, Maneesha explains why it has been a very exciting time to work on data privacy and security issues. She also describes uncertainties in the legal landscape that create challenges for clients, and outlines emerging trends in data privacy and security issues that she is following closely.
