Global Competition Review Recognizes Three Wilson Sonsini Lawyers Among 2025’s Leading Women in Antitrust
On May 21, 2025, Global Competition Review named Wilson Sonsini partners Maureen Ohlhausen, Jamillia Ferris, and Taylor Owings to its Women in Antitrust 2025 list. Maureen and Jamillia are repeat honorees, while Taylor earns her first recognition. Now in its seventh edition, the highly regarded list celebrates outstanding women private practitioners, enforcers, in-house counsel, economists, and academics making significant contributions to the antitrust field.
Maureen, co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition practice, brings decades of leadership spanning both government and private practice. She served as Acting Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from 2017 to 2018 and is the only FTC Commissioner to receive the Robert Pitofsky Lifetime Achievement Award—an honor that reflects her lasting impact on the agency and the broader antitrust landscape.
Jamillia, who also co-leads the practice, advises leading technology and life sciences companies on merger reviews, investigations, and competition-related litigation. Her public-sector experience includes serving as Chief of Staff and Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust at the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as holding senior leadership roles across both government and the private sector.
Taylor represents clients in merger reviews, litigation, and regulatory matters, with a focus on innovation-driven industries. Before joining Wilson Sonsini, she served as Counsel and Chief of Staff in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division, where she played a key role in major enforcement actions and established a strong record in appellate advocacy.
