On May 26, 2021, Yalo, the leading conversational commerce (c-commerce) platform previously known as Yalochat, announced that it has raised $50 million in a Series C round of financing, bringing its total capital raised to date to $75 million. The round was led by existing investor B Capital Group, a venture capital firm co-founded by Eduardo Saverin. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented Yalo in the transaction.
Yalo has quickly become the world's leading c-commerce platform, enabling large enterprise businesses like Unilever, Nestle, Coca-Cola, and Walmart to communicate and transact directly with consumers through messaging apps like WhatsApp. The company, which has operations in the U.S, Mexico, Brazil, and India, will use the financing to deepen its presence in Latin America and Southeast Asia, and to fund the development of new product offerings, including conversational marketing and payments solutions.
