On April 16, 2026, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of former Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati attorney Mary Procaccio-Flowers to a judgeship in the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
While at Wilson Sonsini, Mary represented technology companies in high-stakes IP litigation before federal, state, and appellate courts, as well as the International Trade Commission. She also advised companies on the impact of IP and IP disputes on a range of corporate matters. She co-chaired the firm’s Associates Committee and served on the Hiring and Education committees. Mary, who began her career at Wilson Sonsini, was with the firm from September 2012 through July 2020.
Prior to her appointment, she most recently served as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. She also held several roles at the Santa Clara University School of Law, including as an adjunct professor and assistant clinical professor, where she taught courses in IP litigation and jury law, among others.
