Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati helped obtain a victory for Google in an antitrust investigation conducted by Brazil’s antitrust regulator, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). On June 26, 2019, CADE dismissed claims against the technology giant regarding the display of its Google Shopping results. CADE decided to close the probe based on a lack of adequate indication of anti-competitive and harmful effects and evidence that Google's display of product search results and ads improved the quality of Google’s results for its users.

The long-running investigation dated back to 2011 when Google first launched Google Shopping in Brazil and E-commerce Media (owner of comparison shopping sites Buscapé and Bondfaro) accused Google of unfairly promoting its own product search results on its main search results page.
