Wilson Sonsini is pleased to co-present this seminar alongside Korean law firm DLG, with attorneys Ian Edvalson, Minyoung Shin, and Ariel Jeong speaking on how Korean bio-ventures can build and sustain long-term enterprise value as they expand globally.
As Korean bio-ventures grow increasingly competitive on the global stage, the legal architecture of their expansion has become as consequential as the underlying science — and, approached well, it is a source of durable, long-term value rather than simply a set of risks to manage. Drawing on Wilson Sonsini's experience guiding life sciences companies through each stage of their growth, this seminar pairs the firm's life sciences practice with DLG's deep knowledge of the Korean market to deliver practical, integrated guidance across both legal systems. The sessions focus on how the right decisions in licensing, intellectual property, and U.S. market entry can protect and compound the value a company has built — covering how to structure global licensing transactions for lasting value, patent strategy and IP due diligence for overseas expansion, the litigation and dispute risks of entering the U.S. market, and recent Korean pharmaceutical and biotech court rulings. The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session and networking program.
