On Friday, January 29, Senior Litigation Counsel and Pro Bono Counsel Luke Liss will be speaking at OneJustice’s Pro Bono Conference. The virtual conference will bring together pro bono practitioners to discuss their greatest challenges and opportunities, and foster collaboration, creation, and learning through panels, workshops, networking, and OneJustice’s Pro Bono Opportunity Fair.
Luke will be a part of a panel addressing the impact of racism and anti-blackness on pro bono along with speakers from the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Asian Law Alliance, Legal Services for Children, the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Public Counsel.
Luke will share some of his personal experiences and inspirations, the impact of the support he has received at Wilson Sonsini, as well as thoughts on how to move forward to increase empathy and equity via pro bono practices on both an individual and entity level.
