Rome Conference on AI, Ethics, and the Future of Corporate Governance
Affiliated Programs
Friday, April 12, 2024 - Saturday, April 13, 2024

LUISS – The Dome

Rome, Italy

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni recently emphasized the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), positioning it as "the greatest intellectual, practical, and anthropological challenge of the era." We stand on the brink of a revolution poised to reshape the very fabric of our industries and societies. Recognising this, during Italy’s Presidency of the G7 in 2024, the Prime Minister has said that one of her top objectives is to develop dialogue between public and private stakeholders on AI because “public and private interests, [though] both legitimate, are not always overlapping and sometimes are at odds.”

The Rome Conference on AI, Ethics, and the Future of Corporate Governance on April 12-13, 2024 aims to serve as a platform for shaping the dialogue between innovation and responsibility.

Who Should Attend?
This conference is designed for a diverse group of stakeholders, including:

  • Leaders of companies pioneering AI technologies, seeking insights into navigating the evolving regulatory landscape and ethical considerations of AI development.
  • Businesses integrating AI into their operations, looking for practical guidance on leveraging these technologies responsibly and effectively.
  • Policymakers and regulators, interested in fostering a legal framework that supports innovation while protecting public interest.
  • Academics, ethicists, and legal experts, keen on contributing to a nuanced understanding of the ethical implications of AI and its governance.

What Will You Take Away?
Attendees can expect to leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of the global regulatory environment for AI, including successful models and areas for improvement.
  • Insights into effective corporate governance for AI companies, balancing innovation with ethical considerations and stakeholder interests.
  • Practical knowledge on addressing ethical challenges, particularly in relation to AI's impact on labor and societal norms.
  • Strategies for aligning public and private interests in the development and deployment of AI technologies.

Engage in Meaningful Dialogue
The conference will feature comprehensive discussions on:

  • The current state and future prospects of AI regulation in the U.S., EU, and G7 nations.
  • Innovations in private ordering and corporate governance that support ethical AI development.
  • The ethical challenges AI presents, especially concerning labor and societal impacts.

With multiple panels, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities, the Rome Conference on AI, Ethics, and the Future of Corporate Governance promises to be an essential gathering for anyone invested in the ethical development and application of AI technologies. Join us to be at the forefront of shaping a future where technology and ethics converge for the greater good.
