35th Annual Golden State Institute, hosted by California Lawyers Association
The Antitrust and Consumer Protection Section of the California Lawyers Association is hosting the 35th Golden State Institute in San Francisco. Wilson Sonsini partners Jeff VanHooreweghe and Ken O'Rourke will moderate the event’s “Antitrust Ethics in Action 3.0” panel, where they will explore the untold future of AI in law and the current realities of lawyers using (and misusing) AI through four scenarios acted out by leading in-house counsel and outside antitrust lawyers, highlighting key professional rules in settings that raise and address ethical challenges.

33rd Golden State Institute, hosted by California Lawyers Association
The Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section of the California Lawyers Association hosts the 33rd Golden State Institute in San Francisco. Ken O’Rourke, Wilson Sonsini partner and former chair of the California State Bar’s Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section, will moderate the event’s “Antitrust Ethics in Action” panel (described below). Ken is joined by a panel of antitrust lawyers, including Wilson Sonsini associate, Allison Smith.

2023 Antitrust Spring Meeting
The annual ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting, now in its 71st year, is the largest gathering of competition, consumer protection, and data privacy professionals globally, with lawyers, academics, economists, enforcers, journalists, and students from around the world. Typically there are over 3,400 delegates from more than 65 nations. And for good reason: the substance of the sessions, and the knowledge and experience of the faculty, is unequaled. As usual, Wilson Sonsini’s preeminent Antitrust and Privacy groups have leadership roles, but this year is particularly busy for the groups who are sending five speakers in addition to having Estefania Torres Paez serve as one of the conference’s four Young Economists/Lawyer Representatives.
