Wilson Sonsini partner Matthew McDonald joins Washington Analysis’s “Conference Call: Cintas/UniFirst Merger,” a discussion about the regulatory risks facing Cintas’ proposed acquisition of UniFirst. The deal, which raises market definition and national customer questions, bears some resemblance to the Sysco/US Foods deal, which the FTC successfully blocked. Matt played an integral role on the trial team in the FTC’s successful challenge to that merger. The call will discuss how the agency brought its case against Sysco/US Foods, what influence that case may have on the agency’s review of the Cintas/UniFirst deal, and how the agency is likely to evaluate various aspects of competition in the uniform rentals market.
