Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is pleased to support the Bio2Device Group as it presents How Cloud Computing Facilitates Use of Big Data for Life Sciences Decision-Making. Independent consultant, Usman Qazi, will provide an overview on the rise of cloud computing, explore its key concepts, and illustrate how it allows data processing pipelines to be seamlessly connected to minimize latency. Cloud computing eliminates the need for on-premise servers and intricate programming for large-scale batch computing jobs. Canned AI and predictive tools can be easily added. However, poor resource planning can also lead to unexpectedly high costs. This session will provide an overview of recent thinking in the regulatory domain on Big Data, and address data privacy concerns. The session will also explore data arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and create a dashboard to draw salient insights.
