On Friday, April 17, Matthew McDonald will share his insights on the panel “Hot Topics in Antitrust for the BLS,” exploring recent developments at the antitrust agencies under the current administration, including FTC and DOJ leadership changes, trends in enforcement activity and antitrust policy, and the growing role of government relations strategies in navigating antitrust issues.

Michelle Hale focuses on complex, government-facing antitrust matters. Michelle regularly represents companies before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the U.S. Department of Justice in conduct and merger investigations, including specializing in matters involving investigations into potential Robinson-Patman Act violations. This experience informs her ability to provide effective antitrust counseling on a wide range of business conduct, including joint ventures, collaborations, and pricing and distribution, among others. She also has extensive experience navigating through the complexities of the U.S. HSR and multi-jurisdictional filing processes.
Matt represents companies in antitrust matters, including M&A clearance.
Seth Cowell is Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he counsels and represents domestic and foreign entities in national security-related areas, including matters before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). He also counsels clients on matters relating to federal government contracting under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and other laws and regulations concerning domestic and international business.
