Sara Serag is an associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
During law school, Sara interned as a law clerk at the Western District of Wisconsin and at WARF. She graduated with the Dean Achievement Award, and was awarded the Class 2023 Constitutional Law Award.
Prior to law school, Sara began her graduate studies through the American University in Cairo and completed her master's degree at UT-Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Her research involved identifying new regulators of telomeres maintenance, in addition to studying different regulators of DNA damage and repair. She then joined Bruce Spiegelman's lab at Harvard Medical School, where she earned her Ph.D. researching brown fat metabolism and obesity. She then joined the academic team at the University of Wisconsin Madison--School of Pharmacy, where she taught Pharmacology and Drugs of Abuse in the Pharm.D. program and the Masters of Psychoactive Investigation, respectively.
Sara also is trained as a pharmacist. She received her pharmacy degree in Egypt at Ain Shams University, where after graduating, she joined the academic faculty of the clinical pharmacy department. She taught courses including pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacy practice, biostatistics ,and pathophysiology. Additionally, Sara completed a fellowship in cardiovascular clinical research which involved pursuing several clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of different drugs in patients suffering from heart failure and acute coronary syndrome.
Sara is fluent in Arabic.
