During law school, Ariel was a member of the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review as an articles editor. Additionally, she participated in the Lawyering in the Digital Age clinic, wherein she utilized technology to provide access to legal information to low-income residents of New York State.
Prior to law school, she worked in the UK Parliament, at a start-up crowdfunding company in Sydney, and at a think tank in Washington, D.C.
