Tencent Invests $70 Million in DXY.cn
On September 4, 2014, Tencent Holdings, a leading Internet service provider in China, announced that the company has invested $70 million for a minority stake in DXY.cn (also known as Ting Ting Group), a healthcare information sharing website with more than four million registered users in China. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented Tencent in the transaction.
DXY.cn plans to use the new capital to expand its healthcare information and related services to consumers in China. DXY.cn also seeks to offer its services-including access to drug information and a network of more than two million doctors-on Tencent's WeChat, China's most popular mobile messaging app.
