Wercker to Be Acquired by Oracle

On April 17, 2017, Oracle announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Wercker, a Dutch start-up which helps developers test and deploy code at a rapid pace, for an undisclosed amount. WSGR represented Wercker in the transaction.

According to a company announcement, the acquisition will allow Oracle to integrate Wercker's management and automation features into its hosted Docker offerings on the Oracle Cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) products.

The proposed transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Oracle and Wercker will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes.
