SCIenergy Raises $12 Million in Financing Round

On April 1, 2014, SCIenergy announced that it has raised $12 million in a new round of financing. The round was led by Braemar Energy Ventures and includes new investors Edison Energy, a subsidiary of Edison International, and Mitsui USA. Existing investors The Westly Group, DFJ Core, DFJ Growth, and Triangle Peak Partners also participated in the round. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented SCIenergy in the financing.

SCIenergy is developing the first energy-infrastructure-as-a-service integrated platform, delivering a mix of cloud-based software and project capital to drive the mass deployment of comprehensive energy solutions in large buildings.

The Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati team that represented SCIenergy in the transaction includes partner Bob O'Connor and associates Carrie Kibler and Josh Bushinsky.
