Thoma Bravo Announces Acquisition of PowerPlan

On February 23, 2015, leading private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo announced that it has acquired PowerPlan from current investors JMI Equity and TPG Growth. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati served as legal advisor to Thoma Bravo in the acquisition. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Thoma Bravo currently manages a series of private equity funds representing more than $7.5 billion of equity commitments, with a particular focus on application and infrastructure software and technology-enabled services. PowerPlan was founded in 1994 and provides accounting, tax, and capital budgeting optimization solutions for capital asset-intensive businesses within the utility, oil and gas, transportation, and telecommunications sectors.
