Privacy and Data Protection Law Internship

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's Brussels office is looking for legal interns for the firm's Privacy and Data Protection Practice.

The WSGR Privacy and Data Protection Practice assists clients of all sizes, and advises on all aspects of EU privacy and data protection law: GDPR compliance, international data transfers strategy, data breaches and cyber security incidents, transactional privacy, contract negotiation, regulatory investigations, litigation before national courts and the European Court of Justice, and policy work with the European institutions. Our Brussels team is truly international and works closely with the firm's global privacy and data protection team. Our attorneys are trained and qualified in various jurisdictions, including Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. The EU team is led by Cédric Burton, and includes Dr. Christopher Kuner.

Legal interns have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the privacy practice, as well as to take on significant responsibility and work directly with Of Counsels and Partners. Legal interns may also be able to satisfy part of their home jurisdiction's apprenticeship requirements for admission to practice law.

We are currently looking for two interns for a six-month period, starting as early as January 2018. We offer a competitive salary package.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest and/or professional experience in EU privacy and data protection law
  • Master's degree in law (or equivalent) with excellent academic results
  • Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in other European languages is a plus
  • The ideal candidate has some law firm experience
