Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati Entrepreneurs College Holds Second Seminar

On May 2, 2007, the firm held the second seminar of its highly successful client-education program: the Entrepreneurs College, a series of seminars dedicated to providing entrepreneurs with the information, opportunities, and network they need to develop into the next generation of industry leaders. More than 100 entrepreneurs in the Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati network attended the second seminar, in which partner Michael Danaher addressed business plans and fundraising. The event was held at the Palo Alto campus and webcast live to the firm's national offices.

The in-depth discussion included such topics as developing a well-conceived business plan, positioning a company in the marketplace, and delivering an effective fundraising presentation. In addition, Mike outlined the venture capital process and discussed how entrepreneurs can make the most out of business meetings and networking opportunities with VCs. He also explained critical milestones in the closing process.

The firm launched its Entrepreneurs College in October 2006, and will continue to present the program twice a year, in the fall and in the spring. Each session will address a wide range of topics designed to help entrepreneurs focus their ideas and business strategies, build relationships, and access capital. These events are available exclusively to entrepreneurs and start-up company executives in the firm's network, as well as those involved in venture capital, angel organizations, and other finance and advisory firms.

The next Entrepreneurs College seminar, to be held on May 16, will focus on the formation and organization of a start-up company, as well as the issue of founders' stock. Upcoming seminars include:
